Roughly each year, I essentially reorient my value system so that I can better ground my actions and beliefs each day. The exercise itself is relatively simple, but it can play a pivotal role in how you reflect and honor what drives you most.

Tips
- If you have time, stick with a word and get deep on what that word means to you.
- Normalize value shifts: It’s okay for your values to evolve.
- Do a sanity check for conflicts or disharmony and address it (e.g., “Freedom” vs. “Stability”).
